We specialise in providing advice and assistance in respect of deals and disputes concerning construction and engineering operations and their associated activities.

Our clients include main contractors, developers, local authorities, sub-contractors, consultants, materials suppliers, plant hirers and funding institutions.

Our team has wide experience in transactions and disputes relating to all aspects of building and civil engineering and many other types of project. This includes work in the residential market, commercial development, infrastructure, offshore, power generation, and open cast mining.

We draft, review and negotiate upon JCT, ICE, NEC, ACE, RIBA and a wide range of other industry standard forms and bespoke contracts, incorporated and unincorporated joint ventures, standard and one off sub-contract documents, professional appointments and collateral warranty deeds.

In the past members of the department have undertaken a diverse spectrum of work for manufacturing and engineering businesses and have been involved in transactions such as the manufacture of railway rolling stock, submarine building and the installation of mechanical handling equipment.

We also deal with ancillary matters such as financing, parent company guarantees and confidentiality agreements.
