Andrew qualified as a solicitor in 1996, specialising in Civil Litigation and Advocacy (defending regulatory body and CPS prosecutions). Member of the Law Society of Ireland, Law Society Criminal Litigation Accredited.

Andrew is also a Registered Lawyer with The Football Association.

  

 
Edith Holt Edith Holt
Partner

Edith graduated from the University of Central Lancashire with an LLB Honours Degree and then completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Chester. She completed her training contract at a firm in Stockport and qualified as a Solicitor in 2005.

Edith joined McHale & Co in August 2010 as a Partner in the firm. She undertakes all aspects of family law including financial matters arising from the breakdown of marriages or other relationships, divorce and children disputes.

  

 
Jim Waldron

Jim Waldron

Jim graduated from the University of Sheffield with an LLB Honours degree and qualified as a solicitor in 1977. He subsequently gained experience with a number of firms in central Manchester. In 1982 he and Jim Schofield commenced their general practice as Waldron & Schofield in Heywood until their practice merged with McHale & Co in October 2011.

Jim specialises in personal injury claims particularly construction site and tunnel mining accidents. He also advises in relation to the preparation of wills and probate and legal issues concerning care for the elderly including Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection procedures.

 
Michael Muldoon

Partner

Michael graduated from the University of Ulster with an LLB Honours Degree in Law with Government before completing the Legal Practice Course at the BPP Law School in Manchester. He completed his training contract with McHale & Co and is now a Partner in the firm. Michael is a litigator. He has undertaken many successful actions against banks as head of our payment protection insurance litigation team up to Court of Appeal level. In addition to this, Michael also specialises in a broad range of dispute resolution, with particular interest in matters involving commercial contracts, construction, personal and corporate insolvency as well as property litigation.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys football, golf and travelling.

  

 
Jim Schofield

Jim Schofield
Partner

After graduating with an LLB Honours degree from the University of Leeds, Jim gained a Masters Degree in Law. He qualified as a solicitor in 1970 following completion of his training contract with a commercial practice in central Manchester. He was subsequently appointed a lecturer in law at the University of Keele where he stayed for a period of four years. He then returned to general practice before joining Jim Waldron as partner in Waldron & Schofield in January 1982 until their practice merged with McHale & Co in October 2011.

Jim specialises in commercial property and also wills and probate.

He is a keen cyclist and walker.

 
Lindsey Britland

Lindsey Britland
Partner

Lindsey graduated from the University of Liverpool with a LLB Honours Degree in Law before completing the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law Chester. She completed her training contract at Waldron & Schofield and qualified as a Solicitor in 2002. Since this time she has progressed to partner. Lindsey specialises in all aspects of Family work including Divorce and separation (including financial and property matters), Cohabitation, Children (including residence and contact disputes as well as child care), Domestic Violence and pre-nuptial/ post-nuptial agreements.

Lindsey enjoys participating in a number of different of sports particularly Thai boxing, is a football fan and enjoys spending time with her family.
