The end of the financial year has drawn my eye to the accounts again, and whilst this observation is a personal one as far as this firm is concerned, we have seen a big increase in turnover on domestic conveyancing.

On closer inspection the immediately local market appears to be in a reasonably healthy state. I think after a couple of years of holding back on big decisions about moving, people are deciding that they have to just get on with their lives, whether that is moving to a larger house to accommodate a growing family or downsizing for retirement. I think we are getting close to a “normal” housing market returning-not to be confused of course with the rampant and unsustainable “boom” that we had previously-and that is good news for everyone concerned.
