Andrew McHale

Andrew qualified as a solicitor in 1996, specialising in Civil Litigation and Advocacy (defending regulatory body and CPS prosecutions). Member of the Law Society of Ireland, Law Society Criminal Litigation Accredited.
Andrew is also a Registered Lawyer with The Football Association.

 Jim Schofield Partner
After graduating with an LLB Honours degree from the University of Leeds, Jim gained a Masters Degree in Law. He qualified as a solicitor in 1970 following completion of his training contract with a commercial practice in central Manchester. He was subsequently appointed a lecturer in law at the University of Keele where he stayed for a period of four years. He then returned to general practice before joining Jim Waldron as partner in Waldron & Schofield in January 1982 until their practice merged with McHale & Co in October 2011.
Jim specialises in commercial property and also wills and probate.
He is a keen cyclist and walker. |
Matthew Kelly
Assistant Solicitor
Matthew graduated with a First Class Law degree in 2007. He then completed the Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School, passing with Distinction. Matthew joined McHale & Co in March 2010 as a Trainee Solicitor and qualified as a Solicitor in 2011. |

 Michael Muldoon Partner
Michael graduated from the University of Ulster with an LLB Honours Degree in Law with Government before completing the Legal Practice Course at the BPP Law School in Manchester. He completed his training contract with McHale & Co and is now a Partner in the firm. Michael is a litigator. He has undertaken many successful actions against banks as head of our payment protection insurance litigation team up to Court of Appeal level. In addition to this, Michael also specialises in a broad range of dispute resolution, with particular interest in matters involving commercial contracts, construction, personal and corporate insolvency as well as property litigation.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys football, golf and travelling.

Nina Mahaffy
Assistant Solicitor
Nina graduated from the University of Central Lancashire with an LLB Honours Degree in 2002. She then worked for various insurance companies and intermediaries, including Quinn Insurance. She completed the Legal Practice Course at Manchester Metropolitan University in June 2008. In February 2009 she joined McHale & Co as a Trainee Solicitor and qualified in February 2011. |
Paul Fitton Trainee Solicitor
Paul graduated from Lancaster University in 2007 with an Honours Degree in Law. He then completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in York. Prior to joining McHale & Co, Paul worked as a Paralegal for Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP where he specialised in prosecuting health professionals on behalf of their regulatory bodies, including the General Medical Council. Paul joined McHale & Co in March 2011 as a Trainee Solicitor and is due to qualify in 2013. |
